Banza Noodle & Tea House was founded in January 2021, at the height of the pandemic, by three food enthusiasts brought together by a shared love for Asian cuisine and community.

Opening a restaurant during such an uncertain time was not an easy decision. But we believed that even in difficult moments, people still look for comfort, connection, and a warm bowl of food. With that belief, Banza was born.

The Ingredient

local and international

We take pride in sourcing our ingredients responsibly and supporting our local community whenever possible. Many of our ingredients are purchased from Winnipeg-based suppliers, and some — including our ramen and noodles — are locally sourced right here in the city. Most of our dishes are made from scratch in our kitchen, using time-tested techniques and carefully balanced flavours.

At Banza, food is about craftsmanship, consistency, and care. From our broths and sauces to our noodles and toppings, every bowl reflects our respect for the food we serve and the people who enjoy it.

We will not forget

As a locally owned restaurant, we are grateful for the support we have received from the Winnipeg community since day one. We look forward to continuing this journey — bringing comfort, culture, and creativity to the table, one bowl at a time.

Our goal has always been simple:
to bring authentic, thoughtfully prepared Asian food to Winnipeg, while creating a welcoming space for everyone.

A New Challenge

2025

Over time, Banza has continued to grow and evolve. With new management joining the team, we remain deeply committed to the original vision while exploring new ways to enhance the guest experience.

Food is still at the heart of what we do — but we believe dining can be more than just eating. We want Banza to be a place where people can also experience Asian culture and contemporary food trends, without leaving Winnipeg.

From curated playlists and popular Asian music videos playing in our space, to seasonal dishes and drinks inspired by evolving Asian food scenes, we aim to create an environment that feels current, lively, and connected to what’s happening beyond our city.

Thank you

For being part of our story.
